Block Out Epilepsy

Dear Friends,

Epilepsy is a condition that has personally touched our lives.  As a way to help children in our community that are living with this disorder we are hosting a fund raising event to Block Out Epilepsy on April 10th to benefit the Pediatric Epilepsy Center at the Goryeb Children’s Hospital.  Several key players from the New York Jets will help us have a good time while helping a good cause.  The event is being held at the Hanover Marriott Hotel in Whippany from 7:00 – 11:00 pm. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, food stations, open bar, entertainment and an opportunity to get autographs.  They will also be able to participate in silent and live auctions.

The Pediatric Epilepsy Center, a part of the child neurology division at Goryeb Children’s Hospital, is a comprehensive program specializing in the evaluation and treatment of children with epilepsy or symptoms mimicking seizures.   The main goal of the program is to reduce or eliminate the child's seizures; however, the job doesn't end there. The program also educates and reassures parents by employing a multidisciplinary approach.   Through state-of-the-art medical therapy, cutting-edge technology and nutritional counseling, the program helps maximize the quality of life for children with epilepsy while minimizing seizure frequency and medication side effects.

The pediatric epilepsy program at the Goryeb Children’s Hospital has grown continuously over the last three years. Having state-of-the-art equipment and qualified personnel is critical to the successful implementation of the Pediatric Epilepsy Center. Goryeb leadership has identified equipment needs which are essential to maintaining the high caliber of care offered to patients and families. Our goal to raise $200,000 will directly benefit this important endeavor.

Please explore this site to find sponsorship opportunities, information on where and how to purchase tickets and event details.  We look forward to seeing you on April 10th for a fun night supporting a great cause!

Sincerely,

Julie and Alan Faneca
